Important Updates

The 2022 Journey to Excellence Standards are now available. Journey to Excellence is the Boy Scouts of America program to help Packs, Troops, Crews, Ships and Posts to plan, monitor and evaluate their performance and their ability to serve youth. There are specific criteria for the unit to plan and accomplish. These standards are reviewed each year and revised standards are published. Upcoming Events

Camp Improvement Day (April 23, 2022): Camp Improvement Day will be held at Camp Lavigne on Saturday, April 23, 2022.

2023 National Jamboree Meeting (April 25, 2022): There will be a meeting entailing details about the 2023 National Jamboree at the Saint Columba Catholic Church at 7pm! You won’t want to miss it if you are attending the Jamboree, or interested in attending.

BSA Recruitment Event (May 1st): There will be a BSA recruitment event at the Bloomsburg Town Park (near the band shell) from 1pm-5pm. This event will have activities like can jam, giant jenga, giant connect 4, kahoot, fox hunting, and much, much more! You won’t want to miss it, bring your friends and anyone else looking for a good time!

Volunteer Banquet Awards (May 4, 2022): The Volunteer Banquet Awards will be held on May 4th, 2022 at The Lightstreet United Methodist Church in Bloomsburg at 6:30 pm. Mark your calendars for May 4th! We hope to see you there.

Fishing for Scouts (May 7, 2022): The fishing derby will be held on May 7th from 12pm-4pm at Briar Creek Lake in Berwick. Bring your friends! It’ll be lots of fun you won’t want to miss!

OA Spring Fellowship (May 6-8, 2022): OA Spring Fellowship will be held at Camp Lavigne from May 6th to May 8th. Registration details can be found using this link: https://mycouncil.columbiamontourbsa.org/Event/2540

Cub Skill Weekend (May 20-22, 2022): Cub Skill Weekend will be held from May 20-May 22. Registration for this event opens on April 6th. To register, or see more information about this weekend please follow this link: https://mycouncil.columbiamontourbsa.org/Event/2232

Summer Camp (June/July 2022): Scout resident camp, Cub/Webelos camp, and the Cub Scout Day camp are all open for registration. Registration details can be found by following this link: http://www.columbiamontourbsa.org/Camping/CampingNews/CLRegAd220124

National Jamboree (July 19-28, 2023): 2023 National Scout Jamboree will be held from July 19 to July 28 at the Bechtel Summit Reserve in West Virginia. Volunteer Banquet Awards Attendance Sheet: If you are attending the Annual Awards Banquet, you will need to turn in a form making us aware of the # of guests attending. Cub Skill Weekend: Cub Skill Weekend registration will be open until May 13th with no late fee. Registration will officially close, with a late fee, by May 18th. To register please visit this link: https://mycouncil.columbiamontourbsa.org/Event/2232

BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation): There are several locations the BALOO training is being taught, similarly there are several different days in April or May to choose from. Wilderness First Aid Training: This training is through the Juniata Council at Seven Mountains Scout Camp. There are two available dates in the beginning of April to pick from.
